Dr. Manish Gupta joins the GIDOA-3 team

Dr. Manish Gupta, an orthopaedic surgeon with a sports medicine focus enters as GID BIO’s newest principal investigator in a pivotal trial of the GID SVF-2 technology platform’s point-of-care cellular therapy for knee osteoarthritis. 

Dr. Gupta, along with his clinical operations team, leads the Advanced Research Florida trial site out of Boca Raton, Florida, and serves as the medical director of the Sports and Orthopedic Center with affiliation at Coral Springs Medical Center, North Broward Medical Center, West Boca Medical Center and Boca Raton Regional Hospital.

Advanced Research Florida joins eight trial sites, including AdventHealth Orlando, Wake Forest School of Medicine, University of California, Davis, School of Medicine and Tulane University School of Medicine led by Dr. Tariq Awan, DO, Dr. Neil Sparks, DO, MS, Dr. Charles De Mesa, DO, MPH, and Dr. Jaime Garza, MD, DDS, FACS, respectively. 

Dr. Gupta is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. In response to the treatment gap and patient options, he said, “One of our goals is to expand orthopedic practice beyond surgery and embrace new regenerative therapies, but we want to bring these advancements to our community in a way that is accessible to all patients.”
